Donis Gil began working at Stony Brook in August 2007 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Gil is a June 2007 graduate of Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Gil became a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer in August 2007. As an athletic training student at Stony Brook, Gil completed clinical experiences with Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Swimming, Tennis and Softball as well as Rocky Point High School. For his achievements in the classroom and clinical experience he received the Stuart B. Cherney Outstanding Student Athletic Trainer award in his senior year. As an undergraduate student, Gil was the class representative for Dean's Advisory committee, which reported to the Dean of the School of Health Technology and Management from 2005-2007. Along with balancing classes and clinical experiences, Gil was also a Resident Assistant and provided guidance and educational programming for new and returning students on campus. His primary sport assignment is Football. |
