Katie Morigaki is the newest member of the Stony Brook athletic training staff, joining the team in July of 2008 as an intern. She will be working with the athletic training staff to support all Stony Brook student-athletes with their athletic training needs. Morigaki came to Stony Brook from Boston University where she graduated with a B.S. in athletic training in May of 2008. While there she worked as a student trainer for the Terriers, working with the men's and women's basketball and women's soccer programs. She also worked with the football teams at Boston College and Mt. Ida College. A member of the Boston University Society of Athletic Training Students, Morigaki served as the group's treasurer and vice president. While in Boston, Morigaki also served as a volunteer at the Boston Marathon, the 2006 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four and the Beanpot Hockey Tournament. Morigaki was born in Hilo, Hawaii and attended Waiakea High School where she participated in basketball, cross country and track & field. |
