Marian Palazzolo, who has been a member of the Stony Brook University staff for over 10 years, joined the athletic department staff as the administrative assistant to the athletic director in October of 1999.

Palazzolo joined the university's staff in 1994 as a receptionist for the vice president of university affairs. She then moved on to the Stony Brook University Hospital in the medical staff office before joining the athletic department staff in 1999.

Palazzolo, who serves as an usher at St. Patrick's Church in Smithtown, is a member of the Columbiettes and a 20-year member of the Sons of Italy.

Palazzolo was married to her husband, Joe, for 31 years before he passed away in 2000. They have two daughters, Gina and Claudia, and two grandsons, Douglas and Thomas.
