The Seawolves broadcast football and basketball games on WLIE-AM Island Talk 540. The all-talk station has a signal of 10,000 watts and reaches from Montauk to New York City, into Westchester County, down the entire coast of New Jersey, into Pennsylvania and through most of Connecticut. Island Talk 540 is Long Island's "Information Highway," featuring news, talk, interviews, weather, & Long Island traffic reports every 10 minutes, & loads of additional information. Opportunities to advertise on the station exist at a very affordable rate as the Seawolves bring more exposure to football and basketball by broadcasting more games each year. The men's lacrosse team's NCAA Tournament game versus Cornell in 2003 drew a regional audience stretching from Maine to Virginia. Seawolves basketball games through the America East are carried on regional networks including New England Sports Network (NESN), MetroChannel, FOX Sports New York, ESPN Plus, Adelphia Cable and the Madison Square Garden network in the northeastern United States. Football and lacrosse games are carried in Long Island on Telecare, MSG and the MetroChannel through Cablevision. Although the Seawolves are on the ground floor of television broadcasting, a very good opportunity presents itself for commercial advertising to reach a regional audience.
