The Seawolves had two first-place finishes on the day, with both the men's and women's distance medley relay teams each finishing first. The women's team of sophomore Laura Huet (Carrickmines, Ireland), sophomore Stephanie Vos (Apalachin, N.Y.), freshman Carolina Cortes (Woodmere, N.Y.) and freshman Jessica Hampson (Smithtown, N.Y.) crossed in a time of 11:52.26, while sophomore Daire Bermingham (Portmarnock, Ireland), senior Mubaarak Muhammad (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), freshman Shamell Forbes (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) and sophomore Tim Hodge (Tawa, New Zealand) finished in 10:00.54 for the men. Both times are ECAC and IC4A qualifying times. The women's team had three top-10 finishes in the 5,000-meter, including a new school-record from senior Dana Hastie (Wellington, New Zealand). Hastie took second overall with a time of 16:43.23, which is also an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Junior Fisayo Tunde (Selden, N.Y.) posted a personal season-best in the 200-meter with a time 27.51, good enough for 19th, and also competed in the 55-meter, finishing 22nd (7.73).
Seniors Justin Miller (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Robert Dantone (Dix Hills, N.Y.) performed well for the Seawolves in the weight throw with a pair of top-10 finishes. Miller's distance of 16.03-meters was good enough for third, with Dantone taking seventh-place with a distance of 14.56-meters. Stony Brook also had two members of the men's team qualify for final heats tomorrow.
