Boston, Mass. - The Stony Brook men's and women's track team finished their indoor season at the ECAC/IC4A Championships last weekend.

Jenny Payne continued her trend of rewriting the record books, setting the school record in the 5000m with a time of 17:13.47. That time shaved 14 seconds off the old record. Payne finished in 15th place overall in a very competitive field.

Jackie Berman finished 10th overall in the 1000m, cutting .01 off her own school record in the event. Berman ran the race in 2:54.50.

Corinne Leake ran 1:16.01 in the 500m but failed to make the finals.

On the men's side, Mike Thompson finished his college career with a good run in the 1000m, but his time of 2:27.96 was not good enough to qualify for the finals. Chris Hunt missed the final of the 500m by .19 of a second.

The distance medley relay team of Dale Summerville, Chris Hunt, Mike Thompson and Jonathan Brims ran 10:09.17, but failed to make the final.

The Seawolves will now prepare for the outdoor season that starts on March 20 with the Iona Quad meet.
