Three Seawolves Place At NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Regional
June 1, 2008 Tallahasee, Fla. - Senior Dana Hastie (Wellington, New Zealand), sophomore Jessica Hampson (Smithtown, N.Y.) and freshman Carolina Cortes (Woodmere, N.Y.) all placed for the Stony Brook outdoor track and field team this weekend at the NCAA East Regional at Florida State University. Hastie finished 19th in the women's 5,000-meter event with a time 17:13.21. Hampson and Cortes competed in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing 19th and 31st respectively. Hampson crossed in a time of 10:57.52, while Cortes finished in 11:49.80.
