Boston, Mass. - Stony Brook's track & field team sent just three runners to the Harvard Open on Saturday, but experienced great results as they won both of the events they competed in. Junior Laura Huet (Carrickmines, Ireland) was the top finisher in the women's 3,000-meter run, while juniors Daire Bermingham (Portmarnock, Ireland) and Alex Felce (Stroud, England) finished first and second in the men's 3,000-meter.

Huet cruised to victory in her race, beating the second place finisher by 35 seconds. Her time of 9:52.88 was also an ECAC qualifying time.

Bermingham and Felce went back-and-forth throughout the majority of their run, before Bermingham pulled away, crossing first in a time of 8:30.01. Felce finished just three seconds later in 8:33.19.
