The Stony Brook men's outdoor track and field event group competed at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, posting two first place finishes.

Joe Cardinale won both the shot put and discus events with throws of 46'07.5" and 149'07" respectively. Constantinos Sevdinoglou finished fourth in the shot put with a season's best performance of 43'09", while Ken Guerin took fourth in the discus with a throw of 129'09".

The mens and women's full track teams return to action at the Metropolitan Championships next weekend.
