Terre Haute, Ind. - Senior Jenny Payne finished 11th in the 6K to lead the Stony Brook women's cross country team at the pre-NCAA qualifying meet in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday.

Payne's time of 20:37.0 in the 6K race placed her 11th among 280 competitors to lead the Seawolves to a 21st-place finish as a team. Thirty-nine teams, including 15 of the top 30 in the region, competed at the meet.

The Seawolves return to action on Nov. 2 when they compete at the America East Championships.
