Riverdale, N.Y. - Junior Dale Summerville led the Stony Brook men's cross country team at the Manhattan/Iona Cross Country Invitational on Friday.

Summerville finished the 5K in 16:03, good for fifth place. Freshman Brian Farrell also nabbed a top 10 finish, placing 10th with a time of 16:40. Sophomore Preston Smolinski followed close behind with a 12th-place finish in 16:56.

Manhattan defeated the Seawolves, 20 points to 48 points, while Iona won over Stony Brook by a score of 28 points to 31 points.

The Seawolves return to action on Nov. 2 when they compete at the America East Conference Championships.
