Bronx, N.Y. - Jenny Payne and Mike Thompson recorded the best finishes for the Seawolves at the METS Championships, held at Fordham University Oct. 6.

Payne came in 17th place in the 5K with her time of 19:25.5, while Thompson's time of 27:34.6 in the five-mile was good for 47th place.

Tara Sullivan finished 28th with a time of 20:019, while Amy Ruston was 37th with a time of 20:17.2. Also competing for the Seawolves were No. 69 Tina Huggler (21:18.2), No. 84 Nicole Marzella (21:58.6), No. 91 Patty Gregory (22:22.4) and No. 104 Yelena Gelman (23:33.2.

For the men, who finished 11th out of 13 teams, Dave de Wolfe finished 51st (27:37.7), Jay Strom was 98th (29:25.0), Bill Cotter was 102nd (29:34.5), Josh Adler was 114th (30:14.1) and Chris Hunt was 117th (30:25.9).

The Seawolves return to action on Nov. 1 when they compete against Iona and Manhattan at Van Cortland Park.
