Boston, Mass. - Jackie Nunez earned All-Northeast Region honors after finishing 16th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Dale Summerville finished 34th, which was the highest finish ever by a Stony Brook runner for the men at the meet.

Nunez covered the 6k course in 21:44, missing the NCAA cut by four spots. To qualify for NCAA Championships, she needed to be one of the top four finishers not on the top two teams.

Leonora Joy finished 28th in 22:11, followed by Laura Hixson in 44th in 22:31. Elizabeth Carlson placed 109th in 23:27, while Lauren Gengo was 176th in 24:30.

As a team, the Seawolves finished ninth overall with 373 points. It marked the second consecutive season SBU finished in the top 10 at the meet. Providence took the team title with 49 points.

Summerville, who was the only runner to compete on the men's side, finished 34th in 31:19.
