Dale Summerville to Represent New Zealand at World Cross Country Championships
Feb. 16, 2005 Stony Brook, N.Y. - Dale Summerville has been selected by his home country of New Zealand to compete in the 2005 World Cross Country Championships on March 19th in Saint-Etienne, France. He is a member of a four man team that will compete in the 4k (4000-meters) championship. This will be Summerville's first time representing New Zealand at the international level. Summerville has posted several outstanding performances as of late, lowering his school records in the mile and the 3000-meters. His performance of 8:13.42 in the 3000 at Boston University on January 28th secured his spot on the New Zealand team. He will compete this weekend in the America East Championships in both the mile and 3000.
