Alex Felce Named America East Scholar-Athlete
Feb. 19, 2008
Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore Alex Felce (Stroud, England) has been named an America East Scholar-Athlete, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon. Felce, a mechanical engineering major, won the individual competition at this year's America East Cross Country Championship and led the Seawolves to a second-place overall finish. For the 2007 cross country season Felce was named to the all-conference team for the second straight year, a member of the America East All-Academic cross country squad and an America East Honor Roll recipient. A committee of athletic administrators and NCAA Faculty Athletics Representatives chose an honoree in each of the six fall championship sports. Each America East Scholar-Athlete was a starter or prominent reserve and carries a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.20. Felce has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.45.
