Sept. 28, 2007

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's cross country team is ranked 11th in the Northeast Region in the latest poll released by the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). The Northeast Region is comprised of schools in New York and New England.

The Seawolves, who were ranked 14th in the USTFCCA preseason poll, come off a sixth place finish at the BC Invitational last weekend led by freshman Lucy VanDalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) who recorded a 10th place finish.

The Seawolves return to action today for the Paul Short Invitational and will host the America East Cross Country Championships on October 27th.
