Women's Cross Country Ranked Seventh In Northeast Region

Oct. 1, 2002

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's cross country team continues to earn recognition for its outstanding start this fall.

The Seawolves were ranked seventh in the Northeast Region in the latest regional poll released by the Woman's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association. Boston College was ranked first.

After winning their first two meets of the season, the Seawolves received a vote in last week's NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country National Poll for the first time in the school's history.

Stony Brook was off last weekend, but the Seawolves will be in action this weekend at the METS Championships.
