Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook's Dale Summerville and Leonora Joy were named the America East Men's and Women's Cross Country Performers of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Summerville captured his second individual title of the season at the 2004 Metropolitan Cross Country Championships on Friday. With the victory, Summerville became the first Stony Brook harrier in school history to capture the men's title at the meet.

Joy also picked up her second victory of the season at Mets, leading the team to its second runner-up finish in three seasons. The win marked the second time in two years that the Seawolves captured the women's title at the meet.
