Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's Kurt Wende (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Laura Huet (Carrickmines, Ireland) have been named the America East Men's and Women's Cross Country Performers of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Tuesday, October 24.

Huet finished second at the Central Connecticut State Mini Invite to lead the Seawolves to a third-place finish. She crossed the finish line with a time of 11:23.3.

Wende, was the first Seawolf home at the Central Connecticut State Mini Invite with a 17th-place finish. The team took sixth-place overall, with the freshman finishing in a time of 19:39.27.
