Stony Brook Bats Stay Hot In 19-5 Win Over High Point

High Point, N.C. - Stony Brook's bats exploded for 11 runs in the first two innings as the Seawolves went on to a 19-5 victory over High Point at Erach Field in High Point, N.C., on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves improved to 3-5 on the season with the victory.

Stony Brook jumped all over High Point early, scoring five first inning runs and tacking on six more in the second inning to take command of the game. The Seawolves added five more runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by a three-run home run by Kevin Solano.

Solano went 3-for-4 at the plate for Stony Brook, while teammate Matt Devins had a 4-for-5 day.

Starting pitcher Paul Carufe worked five innings to pick up the win for the Seawolves.

Stony Brook is back in action tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. in the final game of the three-game series. Kevin Fitzgerald is slated to start on the mound for the Seawolves.
