Box Score

Rock Hill, SC -- - Alex Trezza collected three RBI and Lee Reynolds pitched seven innings of shutout baseball as Stony Brook (4-3) pounded out a season-high 17 hits in an 11-0 victory over Fairfield (0-5) Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves finished their road trip with a 3-1 mark in South Carolina.

The Pack jumped out of the gates right away, scoring three in the top of the first off Fairfield starter Dan Krines. Trezza plated Jimmy McCurdy from third on a sacrifice fly. Freshman Bobby Ziolkowski earned his first collegiate RBI with a sacrifice fly to center field and Brad Foster singled home Dave Mischo.

The Seawolves continued with the bats in the second inning. Matt Blumberg began his 4-for-4 day with a leadoff double and scored on Lee Lipschutz's double as Stony Brook took a 4-0 lead.

The Pack exploded for five runs in the seventh inning, keyed by Trezza's two-run homerun to right field and on Foster's second RBI of the day - a double down the left field line that scored Mischo.

Reynolds (1-0) struck out seven and walked just two batters before giving way to Nick Poltrack in the eighth.

The Seawolves are scheduled to play at LIU-Brooklyn on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
