Homestead, Fla. - Northeastern struck for nine runs in the eighth inning as the Wildcats overcame a 3-1 deficit and handed Stony Brook a 10-5 loss in late afternoon baseball action in Homestead, Fla.

The Seawolves held a 3-1 lead heading into the eighth but four unearned runs helped Northeastern score nine times in the inning. Anthony Stutz, who had earned his first win earlier in the day, was saddled with the loss, giving up four unearned runs in just 2/3 innings.

Jim McCurdy continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-5 on the day while Alex Trezza was 1-for-4 with two runs batted in. Stony Brook falls to 6-4 on the year and is back in action Monday morning at 9:30 a.m.
