STONY BROOK, NY - Craig Ansman's single to right center field in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Alex Trezza, giving the Seawolves a 4-3 win and a sweep of its doubleheader with Central Connecticut (2-4) Friday afternoon. The Seawolves (3-0), won game one, 1-0.

Trezza doubled to open the seventh and CJ Lutz followed with a walk. After both advanced on a wild pitch, Ansman took a 3-2 pitch the opposite way for the game-winning RBI.

The Seawolves jumped out to a 3-1 advantage in the fourth inning on a Jim McCurdy sacrifice fly that scored Joe Fernandez. Ed Murillo followed with a double to right center, scoring Phil Bouchard who reached on a single.

The Blue Devils came right back in the top of the fifth, scoring twice with two outs to tie the score. Mike Lombardo's double to left plated Ryan Holleran. Nick Macellaro followed with a single to left and Lombardo came home.

In game one, CJ Lutz's RBI single in the bottom of the first inning scored Trezza from second base which proved to be the game-winning run. Chris Flinn struck out 13 batters in the game, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning until Rob Baer's infield single broke it up.ds
