Homestead, FLA -- - Sophomore Chris Flinn struck out 14 batters in eight innings of work, helping Stony Brook to a 9-1 win over Vermont in its final game at the Homestead Challenge Friday afternoon. The Seawolves won seven of its nine games on the trip and improved to 11-2 overall.

Matt Salmon got the Seawolves on the board with an RBI single in the second inning. Ed Murillo, Phil Bouchard and CJ Lutz all collected RBI's in the inning as the Seawolves posted a 4-0 lead. Salmon's second RBI of the day in the fifth inning put the game out of reach, giving the Seawolves a 7-1 lead. salmon finished 3-for-4 on the day.

The Seawolves capitalized on six Catamount errors, scoring four unearned runs.
