STONY BROOK, NY - Chris Manna's two-run homerun in the fourth inning started a six-run rally and the Seawolves went on to defeat LIU-Brooklyn, 15-1, Wednesday afternoon at Seawolves Field. It was the third straight win for Stony Brook (16-5) and the second loss in four games for LIU-Brooklyn (8-11).

Manna's two-run blast to left field gave the Seawolves a 2-0 advantage as both teams struggled early on with the bats. After Phil Bouchard reached on an error and advanced to second, Ed Murillo doubled to left-center field, scoring Bouchard. Joe Fernandez followed with another double to score Murillo and Gregg Foster hit his seventh homerun of the season to cap off the inning.

Stony Brook's 19-hit barage continued in the eighth inning when the Seawolves scored seven more runs, highlighted by CJ Lutz's eighth homerun of the season, a 360-foot shot to left field. Manna, Lutz and Foster each had two RBI on the day to lead the Seawolves.

Stony Brook used seven pitchers on the day, with Mike Kinney (2-1) getting the win. He pitched just one inning, allowing one hit while striking out one. The Blackbirds used five pitchers with John Cronin (0-1) getting the loss. Cronin gave up six runs and five hits in one inning of work.
