Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook sophomore Casey Jacobs (Davie, Fla.) and junior Brian Witkowski (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) were named the ECAC softball pitcher and baseball player of the week respectively, according to a release from the conference Wednesday.

Jacobs picked up a win and a save last week while posting a 0.00 ERA. She struck out 14 batters in 13.2 innings pitched, while allowing just two walks.

Witkowski put together a solid week for the Seawolves, hitting .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.100. The junior also recorded 10 runs scored, eight RBI, three doubles, and three homeruns.

This is the second week in a row a Stony Brook athlete has been recognized by the ECAC.
