Joe Nathan Named To 2009 American League All-Star Team

Former Stony Brook University baseball great and current closer for the Minnesota Twins, Joe Nathan `97, was named to the American League All-Star team for the fourth time, Major League Baseball announced on Sunday. The 80th Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will be held at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, will be televised nationally by FOX on July 14 at 8 p.m. [+]

Despite not repeating our championship season of a year ago, the 2009 Seawolves still have much to be proud of. Three Baseball Student-Athletes Named To America East All-Academic Team

Stony Brook University's baseball team had three student-athletes named to the America East All-Academic team, announced by the conference office on Monday. Seniors Mike Errigo (Bayside, N.Y.) and Steven Mazzurco (Selden, N.Y.) along with junior Michael Stephan (Patchogue, N.Y.) were named to the 11-player squad. [+]
