Vestal, N.Y. - Senior Ricky Lucas (Herndon, Va.) was one of five student-athletes named to the America East All-Academic team the league office announced at the annual award's banquet on Friday. It marks the second straight season Lucas had earned a spot on the All-Academic team.

Lucas averaged a team-high 14.0 points per game, reaching double-figures in 21 of the Seawolves 28 contests. The 6-4 swingman also ranked second in the conference with a .426 three-point percentage while leading Stony Brook with 35 steals.

The eighth-seeded Seawolves will take on the ninth-seeded Maine Black Bears in the opening round of the 2008 America East Tournament Friday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
