Men's Basketball Adds Three Student-Athletes In Spring Signing Period

Stony Brook University men's basketball head coach Steve Pikiell has announced that three additional student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Seawolves, beginning in the fall of 2009. Swingman Preye Preboye (Springfield, Mass.), shooting guard Lenny Hayes (Voorhees, N.J.) and forward Eric McAlister (Cranbury, N.J.) join the Seawolves' 2009-10 recruiting class which already includes guard Marcus Rouse (Upper Marlboro, Md.). Stony Brook Men's Basketball Alumni Reunite At Staples Center

On April 3rd, several Stony Brook alumni enjoyed a reunion at the Staples Center in Los Angeles while watching the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Houston Rockets. In attendance at the game were former men's basketball standouts Patrick Garahan `69, Jack Cohen `79, and Alan Koch `71. Also in attendance at the game were Jackie Cohen '93 and Brian McWilliams '78. Prior to the game, former men's hoopster Bruce Friedman '71 reunited with Koch, his college roommate, to reminisce about the good old days at Stony Brook. [+]
