Andrew Cohen Steps Down As Defensive Coordinator

March 22, 2004

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook defensive coordinator Andrew Cohen has stepped down to accept a position as recruiting coordinator/defensive line coach at Fordham. The second defensive coordinator in the program's history, Cohen spent four seasons at SB and helped the Seawolves go 14-6 over the last two seasons.

In 2002, Cohen's defense stepped to the forefront as it spurred the Seawolves to a program best 8-2 mark. That season saw his defensive unit hold opponents to 14 or less points in eight of SB's 10 games.

Last fall, three members of the Stony Brook defensive unit earned All-Northeast Conference honors.
