Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook used a five-goal third quarter to erase a 5-4 deficit en route to an 11-7 victory over Radford Saturday afternoon at Seawolves Field. The win snaps Stony Brook's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season and improves the Seawolves to 1-6 on the year. The loss drops Radford's record to 1-5. Trailing 5-4 in the third quarter, Stony Brook scored seven unanswered goals to help propel them to its first win. Nick Ceballos, Jesse Foss, Tristram Gillen and Kevin Pall all scored twice in the game for the Seawolves. Pall's two-goal effort was his fifth straight multiple-goal game and he now has 14 goals on the season. Pall helped key the five-goal outburst in the third quarter, scoring twice in that span. Lewis Ratcliff turned in an outstanding effort for Radford, tallying four times on the afternoon while teammate Billy Kauffman added two goals. John Dobias made 12 saves on the afternoon for Stony Brook, recording his first win in 2000. The Seawolves went 3-5 on extra-man opportunities while Radford went scoreless on six man-up chances. Stony Brook returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Providence to take on the Friars. Face-off is 4:00 p.m.
