Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will make its first postseason appearance since 1988 as the No. 3 seed when the America East playoffs begin on May 1.

The Seawolves will be at the No. 2 seed Hartford Hawks Wednesday under the lights. Face-off is 7:00 p.m. Hartford was relegated to the No. 2 seed after Albany handed them a 9-4 defeat yesterday in a game that featured the only remaining undefeated teams in conference play.

The No. 1 seed Albany Great Danes will host No. 4 Quinnipiac on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. The championship game will be played between the winners of the two semifinal match-ups on Saturday, May 4.

Stony Brook's last postseason appearance came as a Division III school in the ECAC Semifinals in 1988. The Seawolves fell to Montclair State, 12-4.
