Cappadoro Grabs Men's Lacrosse Rookie Of The Week Honors For Second Straight Week

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook attackman Jason Cappadoro (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur HS) is the America East Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after scoring five goals and adding two assists in two games. It is the second straight week that Cappadoro has won the award and third time this season he has been honored as the conference rookie of the week.

Cappadoro had three goals and an assist as the Seawolves handed Hartford its first conference loss of the season, 6-5, on Saturday. His goal with 2:01 left was the game winner. He also scored two goals and added an assist in a loss to No. 14 North Carolina Wednesday.

Stony Brook (7-9, 3-2) will face Albany on Wednesday in the semifinal round of the America East playoffs. Face-off is 3 p.m. on the University of Albany campus.
