Cambridge, Mass. - For the third time this season freshman Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia) has been named the America East Conference Rookie of the Week in men's lacrosse the league announced today. McBride scored a total of six goals in a pair of games last week for the Seawolves.

McBride continued his season-long goal scoring pace last week, scoring a total of six in Stony Brook's two games to lead the team. Against Hofstra he scored twice, with his second breaking a three-goal streak from Hofstra that started Stony Brook on the comeback trail. At Albany he shocked the Great Danes with a goal 10 seconds into the contest on his way to a four-goal outing. He scored three of the first four goals of the game for Stony Brook as the Seawolves took an early 4-0 lead. McBride now leads the America East with 43 goals, a number which has him tied for 6th on the Stony Brook single-season list.
