Men's Lacrosses Finishes At No. 21 In The STX/Geico Coaches Poll
May 10, 2005 Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team checked in at No. 21 in the final regular season STX/Geico Coaches Poll, the USILA announced Monday. The announcement marks the first time that the Stony Brook men's lacrosse program has finished a season ranked in the Top 25. The Seawolves made history this season, jumping into the Top 20 for the first time in the program's 16-year history and climbing as high as No. 13. Stony Brook spent four weeks in the Top 20 this spring and eight weeks in the Top 25. Team success that featured three wins over ranked opponents fostered individual recognition as head coach Lars Tiffany was named America East Coach of the Year and freshman Bo Tripodi grabbed conference Rookie of the Year honors. Stony Brook was one of three America East teams to finish in the Top 25 along with Albany (13) and UMBC (23).
