Stony Brook, N.Y. - Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia), a rising sophomore on the Stony Brook University men's lacrosse team, played a big role in the recently completed U-19 Men's Lacrosse World Championships. Playing for Canada, he helped his squad to a second-place finish in the 12-team event that was held in Coquitlam, British Columbia. For his play in the tournament Crowley was named to the All-World Team. Crowley finished tied for fifth in scoring on team Canada, which fell to the United States in the gold medal game, 19-12. He scored 11 goals and handed out four assists for a total of 14 points and was one of seven players on the Canadian roster to reach double figures in goals in the seven games played. Crowley also served as the top face-off man on the team, winning over 61 percent of his attempts. As a freshman for the Seawolves in 2008, Crowley was among the national leaders in scoring in the NCAA, finishing 19th in points per game (3.43) and 10th in assists per game (1.86).
