Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's soccer team tied Southampton 1-1 in its second pre-season scrimmage on Aug. 26.

The Seawolves faced Southampton, a consistent top 10 finisher in Division II, with only 13 field players, but USB was able to hold its own. Freshman forward Shane Arikian netted a goal for the Seawolves but USB was unable to score the gamewinner.

The Seawolves open their season on Friday, Sept. 1, as Stony Brook travels to face Boston College. Kick-off is at 1 p.m.
