Durham, N.H. - The Stony Brook men's soccer team suffered its third straight loss as the Seawolves fell 3-1 to New Hampshire on Friday.

The Wildcats (4-3-1, 2-0 America East) got on the board early, as Nicholas Mello tallied on a Josh McGeachy assist in the ninth minute.

Stony Brook, which failed to score in its last two games, didn't counter until just over nine minutes into the second half, when senior Kwame Richardson's shot from the right post slipped past UNH goalkeeper Shaun O'Neil to even the game.

However, the Wildcats' Tyler Tibbs headed in the gamewinner just two minutes later, and McGeachy added an insurance goal at 81:33. McGeachy finished the game with a goal and two assists.

Stony Brook goalkeeper Dan Ferrin and UNH's O'Neil each finished the game with four saves.

For the Seawolves, who drop to 3-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the America East, the loss marks the first time since the 1999 season that they have suffered three straight setbacks.

Stony Brook looks to rebound on Sunday, as the Seawolves head to Maine for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
