Figueroa, Muller, Megaloudis Travel To Puerto Rico For National Team Training Camp

Jan. 12, 2008

San Juan, Puerto Rico - Stony Brook men's soccer players Kevin Muller (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Gadiel Figueroa (Caguas, Puerto Rico) and former Seawolf Chris Megaloudis (Queens, N.Y.) are among a pool of players in training camp for the Puerto Rican National Team. Training for the national team began on January 7 and will continue through January 13.

Puerto Rico will travel to Bermuda to begin a series of friendlies against other Caribbean teams. The team will play the Dominican Republic in the first leg of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification as part of the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football).

Both Miller and Figueroa completed their junior seasons at Stony Brook. Figueroa played in seven games and Muller played in 10, starting four. After transferring to Stony Brook from St. Peter's, Megaloudis was a two-time first-team all-America East selection for the Seawolves. In his two years at Stony Brook, Megaloudis tallied 15 goals and 12 assists and led the Seawolves to the America East championship in 2005 and a berth in the NCAA College Cup.
