Akil Jordan Named To America East Men's Soccer All-Rookie Team
Nov. 7, 2001 Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook's Akil Jordan was named to the America East Conference Men's Soccer All-Rookie Team, the conference announced today. The freshman midfielder had his best outing in his final America East game, scoring the Seawolves' two goals in a 3-2 setback to Hartford on Sunday. He has totaled five points this season and has started all 16 games. Boston University senior forward Joachim Kaland was named Player of the Year, while Hartford's Alon Lubezky was chosen Rookie of the Year in voting conducted by the conference's men's soccer coaches. BU head coach Neil Roberts was named Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. The Seawolves conclude their season when they travel to face local rival Adelphi in a rescheduled match on Saturday, Nov. 10. Kickoff is 1 p.m. |
