HILTON HEAD - An undermanned Stony Brook men's tennis team lost its three matches in South Carolina last week. The Seawolves fell to Kutztown, 6-1, College of Charleston, 7-0, and to The Citadel, 5-2. The Pack has now lost five straight after starting the fall with a 2-0 season.

David Hewitt (Wellington, New Zealand) captured a 6-3, 6-2 victory at #2 singles and teamed with Gareth Williams (Wellington, New Zealand) at #1 double for a win against Kutztown in the loss. The Seawolves were forced to default at #5 and #6 singles and also at #3 doubles. Against Charleston, Adam Lazarus (West Nyack, NY) and Kyle Warner (Riverhead, NY) teamed at #2 doubles for an 8-6 win, its only victory in the match.

Lazarus won at #3 singles with a 7-5, 6-4 victory and Patrick Drozdick (Rockaway Beach, NY) captured a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8) win at #5 singles. In doubles play, Lazarus and Warner teamed at #2 doubles for an 8-1 win.
