Stony Brook, N.Y. - It didn't take long for the Stony Brook men's tennis team to wrap up their 2001-02 home schedule with a victory over Monmouth on Wednesday. The Seawolves didn't need the doubles point, capturing five singles matches for the 5-0 win.

Jens Pillgram-Larsen recorded a 6-2, 6-1, victory at No. 1 singles, while No. 2 Egil Anonsen won 7-5, 6-2. No. 4 Philippe Amireault won 6-1, 6-2, while David Hewitt cruised at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-0, victory. Senior Adam Lazarus earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles in his final career home match.

Gareth WIlliams split sets in an unfinished match at No. 5 singles, dropping the first 7-6 but evening the match with a 6-4 win in the second.
