Men's Tennis Sweeps Dowling 7-0

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 7-0 sweep of visiting Dowling on Tuesday afternoon at University Courts. The Seawolves have now won 12 of their last 13 matches to improve to 18-2 on the season.

The Seawolves won all three doubles matches with victories at No. 1 from Tal Meir and Alamgir Wali, at No. 2 from Jean-Francois Robitaille and Egil Anonsen and at No. 3 from Michael Crooks and James Carpenter.

Stony Brook then swept singles as Meir, Crooks, Anonsen, Robitaille, Philippe Amireault and Kyle Natichioni picked up wins at No. 1 through No. 6, respectively.

The match served as the final home contest for seniors Amireault, Anonsen and Rushabh Shah.

The Seawolves return to aciton Friday through Sunday when they compete in the 2004 America East Tennis Championships at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
