 Stony Brook Holds Seventh-Annual Laxbacker Dinner Stony Brook University's Department of Athletics held its annual Laxbacker Dinner on Saturday night at the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson Station. The seventh annual event was a tremendous success with more than 240 people, a record number, coming out to support Stony Brook's men's and women's lacrosse teams. "I would like to thank all of our alumni, families and members of the Stony Brook lacrosse community for their commitment to our programs and our University," said head men's lacrosse coach Rick Sowell. "I am humbled by this great turnout and it is a credit to the energy and enthusiasm surrounding the Stony Brook programs. The Laxbacker Dinner was a great start to the 2008 season." (more) Wolfstock 2007 - Homecoming In Review On a beautiful Saturday in October, Stony Brook played host to Wolfstock 2007, its annual homecoming celebration that proved to be one of the finest ever. Alumni turned out in record numbers to enjoy an outstanding weekend of homecoming activities that was highlighted by a thrilling double overtime 30-23 victory over rival Maine in front of record 7,300 homecoming fans. (more) Stony Brook Dedicates Rita & Kurt Eppenstein Athletics Hall of Fame Dedication ceremonies for the Rita & Kurt Eppenstein Athletics Hall of Fame were held this morning on the campus of Stony Brook University. The dedication of the Hall was made possible by a gift from Stony Brook basketball alumnus Ted Eppenstein '68. (more) Stony Brook Dedicates Nasti Academic Hall Thomas & Nicolina Nasti Academic Hall Dedication Photo Gallery  Dedication ceremonies for the Thomas & Nicolina Nasti Academic Hall were held last evening on the campus of Stony Brook University. The dedication of the hall was made possible by a gift from Maura and Richard Nasti '78. The hall is a part of the Goldstein Family Student-Athlete Development Center. (more) Save the Date!
