America East Women's Basketball Media Day Set For Today

Cambridge, Mass. - For the second year in a row, the America East Women's Basketball Media Day will be conducted digitally to include interviews with all nine head coaches and conference commissioner Patrick Nero. To hear head coach Michele Cherry's thoughts on the 2008-09 season, log on to America East.com The 2008-09 preseason poll and all-conference selections will be announced live this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on the campus of the University of Hartford, site of the 2009 America East Women's Basketball Championship.

Stony Brook returns nine letterwinners including all-rookie selection Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.), who averaged 9.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game and Misha Horsey (Wyncote, Pa.), who averaged 5.7 points and 2.1 assists per game. The Seawolves will play its 2008-09 schedule in Pritchard Gymnasium while Stony Brook Arena undergoes a renovation.
