West Long Branch, N.J. - Junior midfielders Kaitlin Leggio (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Amy Hallion (Glenelg, Australia) totaled nine goals and Stony Brook scored seven unanswered goals in the first half in an 18-9 victory over Monmouth at Kessler Field on Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves (4-2) have won two games in a row. Monmouth is 4-2.

Monmouth's Megan Brenner scored the first goal of the second half, but Cook and freshman Samantha Djaha (East Islip, N.Y.) scored 24 seconds apart to put the visitors up 11-3. The Hawks scored the next three goals but Leggio, the America East player of the year last season, had three of the Seawolves' five goals in a nine-minute span to give Stony Brook a 16-6 advantage.

Leggio had a game-high five goals and Hallion and Cook added four. Senior Diana Caroleo (North Babylon, N.Y.) had a game-high four assists and Leggio chipped in with three.
