Sept. 12, 2003

Box Score

Philadelphia, Pa. - After a scoreless first half, Stony Brook scored three times in a span of 11 minutes to register a 3-0 shutout win over La Salle Friday afternoon in Philadelphia. Danielle Lewis scored her first goal of the season to ignite the three-goal outburst and goalkeeper Cindy Bennett made five saves to preserve her first shutout of the year.

In the 65th minute, Victoria Feliciano dug out a loose ball in front of the La Salle goal and passed it to Lewis who put it by La Salle netminder Marisa Suarez for a 1-0 lead. Just 3:28 later, Feliciano added to the lead with her first goal of the season, a 18-yard blast just inside the left post.

Katie Kramer sealed the win at 74:40 by knocking in a loose ball off a corner kick for her second tally of the season. Bennett made five stops to earn her seventh career shutout and help Stony Brook improve to 1-1-1.

Suarez made eight saves for La Salle.

Stony Brook wraps up the two-game road trip at St. Joseph's on Sunday. Kick-off is 11 a.m.
