Box Score

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Ayla Gustafson and Heidi Nichols came off the bench to score goals 3:53 apart bridging the first and second halves, leading Penn to a 3-0 victory over Stony Brook - its third win in four games. The Quakers have won both meetings in the series and own a 6-0 scoring advantage.

Penn put pressure on the Seawolves (4-5-1) from the start and it paid off in the 15th minute as Sabrina Fenton dribbled around charging Stony Brook goalie Renee Pelletier and put the ball into the back of the net. Gustafson aded another 2:30 before the end of the first half, following her deflected initial shot with another that beat Pelletier on the lower left side.

With a 2-0 advantage, the Quakers (3-2) came out in the second half with the same offensive pressure. Heather Issing headed an attempted clearing pass to Nichols, who beat one defender and scored to give Penn an insurmountable 3-0 lead.

Stony Brook returns home Sunday afternoon when it hosts Cal-State Sacramento at 12:00.
