Women's Soccer Recruiting Class Ranked Second In America East By Soccer Buzz Magazine
May 29, 2008
Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's soccer team recently had its 2008 recruiting class ranked second in the America East Conference by Soccer Buzz Magazine. The Seawolves class of seven was also selected as the 13th best out of 42 teams in the Northeast Region. SBU's class ranked only behind defending America East champion Boston University and was chosen by Soccer Buzz as the conference's `team on the rise'. The Seawolves ranking of 13 in the Northeast Region is up four spots from last season. The Seawolves finished the season 8-5-5 and hosted their first ever America East tournament game, a 2-1 victory over Maine. Stony Brook also put together a scoreless streak of 863:33 that ended as the seventh longest streak in NCAA women's Division I history.
