Viola Named America East Player of the Week For Second Straight Time; Army Match Scheduled For Tuesday Cancelled

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore goalkeeper Marisa Viola (Cutchogue, N.Y.) was named the women's soccer America East Player of the Week for the second straight time the league office announced Monday after extending her scoreless streak to 451:47 last week. Viola made 11 saves on Tuesday in the Seawolves 0-0 double overtime tie against Manhattan. She them notched her fourth straight shutout in Stony Brook's 3-0 victory over UMBC on Sunday afternoon. Stony Brook returns to action on Thursday, October 4, traveling to take on Hartford at 6 p.m. The Seawolves game against host Army re-scheduled for Tuesday, October 2 has been cancelled.
